HannahBelle’s Poems

Little Belle Dear
I gave birth to you
But we never met
In dreams
I have always been near
Reaching out to touch your face
But in life I never held you
I cannot wipe away your tears
Or rock you to sleep at night

In dreams I still breathe a name
That was never to be yours
“Little Belle Dear”
I want to cry but tears never form
It is my fate and agony
Child of mine

I fought for you but
A mother judged not fit to raise her child
Those words, a knife stabbed threw my heart
The endless pain of separation

“Little Belle Dear”
Chime brightly
Ring your bell for me
